My story

Back in 2003 till 2007, I used to be a penetration tester. It was here that I found out people were the weakest link. Hackers, like most people, tend to choose the path of least resistance when they compromise the security of organisations, and that path is more often than not through people.

But when I went into the same companies with my PowerPoint slides to teach about security, I thought it was my time to shine and everyone would love to hear what I had to say. To my surprise, this was not the case and I soon realized that I was almost sucking their will to live out of their eyes, maybe a little too dramatic, but this was very boring.

In 2007, after one of these presentations at a pharmaceutical company I started to think, there has to be a better way to get the message across and AwareGO was founded by me and my wife, Helga Bjorg Steinthorsdottir.

Mission
